Monthly meetings for Therapists (Hendersonville Area)

Post date: Jun 01, 2018 4:54:2 PM

I’m reaching out to other therapists in the area who may not have yet heard of two monthly peer group meetings that are open to therapists in private practice.  The groups are not new. The first group came into existence years ago by a group of therapists who are now retired – they realized that while there were many rewards to being in private practice, there are also challenges, many of which can be reduced or even overcome when we come together with others who have or are facing similar challenges.  And that coming together as professionals allows us to better serve the community, such as by making and receiving quality referrals.

Date? First Tuesday of each month. Next meetings are June 5th!

When & Where? Breakfast: 7:45 – 8:50 Jongo Java, 117 S Main St

(at big table in the back)

                               Peer Consultation: 9: 00 – 10:30, 220 3rd Ave West

Cost? Free!

RSVP to dayle@fosteringrealchange.com appreciated so we can know how many to expect.

1. Our Breakfast meeting is more than breakfast (though that is important, too!). It’s our time for networking and everyone is welcomed and encouraged to share their news and info about services offered.  Business cards and brochures are welcome.  If you have a “30 second elevator speech“, we’d love to hear it!  This is also a great place to bring up challenges & issues pertaining to the business side of being in private practice.  Oh, and of course, to enjoy the company of each other, our colleagues throughout the area.

2. Peer Consultation/Supervision follows, and is a short walk from the restaurant, at my office which is shared with colleagues Maria White and Holly Metcalf.

It’s free, and there are many benefits of Peer Consultation, including some discussed here: http://tamarasuttle.com/9-benefits-of-a-peer-consultation-group/
